./independent scholars is a loose network of scholars from various disciplines within Humanities, Social Sciences and the Arts. We are a dynamic group of scholars who come together to pursue projects independent of the various universities with which we might be affiliated.

./independent scholars aim to organize international conferences, in said areas, with a view to publishing edited conference presentations. We also want to enrich our conferences with side events like screenings, exhibitions and performances, when relevant.

./independent scholars is based in Istanbul and aim to turn Istanbul into a centre of attraction for international conferences. However we are open to anyone who might like to organize an international conference on a specific academic topic in Istanbul or would like to be on the academic committee of an international conference that is in its initial stages of planning.

For inquiries and proposed joint projects please contact us.
